Since it is now possible to make links with mouseover tooltips on our forums (see post elsewhere in the forums), I thought it'd be fun to make a thread where you can showcase your items, a bit like a "Randomness" thread, just with ingame content. This thread is therefore an attempt at a thread where you can post and show any item that you want to share with the rest of your tribe. Post anything you like, it doesn't have to be Epic or Imba (as they say), but could be something that is important to you, it could just be a grey junk item or a quest item with a funny description, and so on. Tell a small story about it, or just post the link for all to see and admire. So, as an opportunity to brag and show off big epics, the thread can also serve as inspiration to those of us with strange habits of chasing down strange items, pets, mounts and cool junk for no apparant reason. Post away! Edit: (url=http://www.wowhead.com/?item=XXXXX) (b) (color=XXXXX) (Name of Item) (/color) (/b) (/url)

Okay, I'll kickstart this mofo then with some completely random info. I carry no less than ten mounts in my backpack. I don't really know why, except that whenever I get a new one I tend to forget taking old ones out. [Great White Kodo] My oldest mount, that I just can't release back into the wild. [Horn of the Frostwolf Howler] From waaaaay back when playing Alterac Valley was more than just a retarded grindfest. It used to be fun, which eventually rewarded me this commonly seen white wolf. [Horn of the Swift Brown Wolf] Which I got after completing loads of low level quests for Orgrimmar reputation, because I just don't really like looks of the white wolf above. [Swift Brewfest Ram] Urgh, the Ram racing quest is the most horrible daily quest ever. But I got it. Last year. And won't ever do it again. Until perhaps next year. [Great Brewfest Kodo] Speaking of Brewfest rewards, this is a bit more like it. Surely the nicest looking Kodo mount I've seen, although it'll be horribly common in the near future. [Reins of the White War Talbuk] Well, this seemed like a good idea at the time. Rarely ride this thing anymore. [Swift Red Windrider] My first flyer was red. Because I like red. Red is nice. [Reins of the Onyx Netherwing Drake] I know I said I don't like long retarded grinds, but I did one again and got this. It's quite noisy, so I only use it for short rides. [Reins of the Violet Netherwing Drake] Different day, different colour. Because I can [Turbo-Charged Flying Machine Control] Well, I am an engineer. Next project is to invent a Turbo-Charged Flying Machine Control SILENCER! /Kugar

I finally got a chance to put the [Sonic Spear] on the shelf, as I just got [Gorehowl] instead. I'll miss the hit rating though, so maybe I'll just have to stash it in the backpack just in case.

Why would you need 50 strength? Not only that, but also losing 60 AP and 25 hit?

Going to have to agree with Scye here. As a hunter I wouldn't exactly carry Gorehowl on my back except for looks. Hit rating is usually the #1 thing you need to gather if it isn't maxed. You're also going to get some nasty glares from people now XD

I don't need 50 strentgh, but it's on there. I am getting 70AP on that thing, so I've not really lost anything but the hit. Which can be made up for by other means. Also, I am glad to not have to look at that big blue lollipop anymore.

Unless you are survival, you lose 97-43=54 AP, not get 60. You even lose melee AP, 92 on axe instead of 97 on spear.
The only thing you actually get is stamina, melee damage and a bit of dodge and crit from 8 Agility. May be a PvP imrovement, but still... Though I would agree on the looks part.

I don't really see how I am losing much, but hit. But once upon a time I chose not to become one of those obsessed WoW mathematicians that take the fun out of the game, so.... I don't care

You're right in that last, but still, just open your character screen in-game and switch between the two weapons with "ranged" tab open. You will see the difference.

It's not really much of a difference really, except that I can now cut down trees (or elves) in no time. [Sonic Spear] [Gorehowl]

These are two new pets I picked up, mostly because I was feeling silly at three o'clock in the morning. I am not sure they will live for very long, as they both make really horrifying noises. They do both hit VERY hard though.
