I'm planning on organizing a BBQ picnic to which Covenant is invited. We already scouted for a good location last Sunday.
It now turns out my weekends are rather booked in August, so I was thinking it would be better to hold the event on a working day evening.
What I am asking you is, does some day of the week suit you particularly well or poorly?

For me any day of the week goes fine in general, though some specific day on some specific week could be occupied. Generally I can attend at any day. By the way, I was also thinking that saying BBQ or any other abbreviature in /s looks a bit strange... But maybe that's being too hardcore. I don't like numbers like 1,2 instead of one, two in /s either

How would you write it then? o.O Mmm...Barbeque? I'll admit as well that the word "BBQ" sounds somehow too modern/hip/cool to come from a tauren's mouth, in my opinion. But then again, we do have our laser guns and dimensional rippers, so the word "BBQ" ain't much of a problem. I still do prefer barbeque, though. Oh and what comes to the event day, I'm quite alright with everything. Maybe wednesday would suit me the best, but I suppose that's the official raiding day for plenty of peeps.

The more I thought about it, weirder and weirder the word started to sound. Finally I had too look up the etymology. >.< This is what wikipedia claimed: "The origins of both the activity of barbecue cooking and the word itself are somewhat obscure. Most etymologists believe that barbecue derives ultimately from the word barbacoa found in the language of the Taíno people of the Caribbean. The word translates as "sacred fire pit."The word describes a grill for cooking meat, consisting of a wooden platform resting on sticks. Traditional barbacoa involves digging a hole in the ground and placing some meat (usually a whole goat) with a pot underneath it, so that the juices can make a hearty broth. It is then covered with maguey leaves and coal and set alight. The cooking process takes a few hours." Sounds like a tauren funeral, with fire. I hope it isn't an omen.

I vote for some related news that'll be added to our WowStead page, when the event is close. Some art and whatnot...

It is time to light the fires and enjoy the bounty of the great summer hunt! Let the feast begin as friends gather from near and far. Give thanks for the beast that roam our Ancestral lands. It is with Earthmother's blessing that we here stand.

That's a lovely roaster-poster. I'll see if I can fit it onto the website, but I may just have to decrease the size a bit. I don't know if it's possible to read it afterwards then though. We'll see.
