It looks like it will now be possible to turn off gaining XP, which I personally find a wonderful, wonderful thing. There is no doubt that I've longed back to the old school vanilla WoW for years, as the game has grown way too big and unnecessarily complex for my taste. There was a time when I actually knew what all the dungeon abbreviations actually meant, now I don't anymore. Now, it looks like there once again is a point and a possibility to make a guild, level to 60, pay the 10g to stop gaining XP and enjoy the classic content. That's just the best thing in years for me in the game, and possibly rescues me from the boredom of the present WoW, and the constant pressure to progress, that I feel has somewhat taken its toll on our guild as well. Hmmn, this certainly can be fun and useful for le vanilla raids. Sadly my closest lvl 60 character is my warlock with...34 levels I think, and it's not likely that she'll be getting up from that anytime soon.

When I heard that, the thing that occurred to me was that now I will be able to make a real level 1 alt and never level him, wandering around as much as I want.

www.mmo-champion.com/From how I understood it, the main reason for turning off exp gain was to avoid the new system that makes you gain experience from doing battlegrounds, meaning that your character could stay a twink. Furthermore, people with their exp turned off can only meet other likely people in battlegrounds. Altogether the patch notes seem rather awesome, aside from DKs getting changed and nerfed again (perhaps they deserve it, but still). Battlegrounds are being changed into the direction they should have been changed to a long long time ago. The main rogue change made me , but I guess it'll be alright. Plus all heroics and lesser raid instances dropping Emblems of Conquest instead of Valor and Heroism. For once I can hardly wait for the patch to come out.
