I don't know about you, but I am getting curious on the person behind the tauren. Hence this thread. Do share who you are, and what you do, why did you start to play etc, etc. To get it going, allow me to start. You all now me as Skyfire, but on the net my most common nicks are KSena or Moonshade. Yes, I am a net-nerd. Living in Borås, Sweden with Bure, we've been toghether for three years now. I am 29 years old and sadly unemployed. Working on getting a job alot, though. I have studied for four years to get my Masters Degree in Library and Information Science. Un-necessary to say, perhaps, but I am crazy about books and comics. Read alot, mostly fantasy and old crime-novels, like Agatha Christie. (At the moment I am stuck in a biography over Marie Antionette, though...) During my studies I got very, very active in the Student Union and thats where I meet Bure in fact. Love movies as well. And I want action and adventure, mostly with a bit of drama thrown in. As you have seen in another thread, I am also a vampire-LARPer, wish I have been doing for five years, and I do not plan to stop any time soon. I have a thing for history to. And I do mean medieval history. Been a member of a SCA society for years to, and goes to there parties now and then. For the Dream! That I started to play WoW is simply Bure's fault. He bought it. I thought it looked pretty, and asked how to play it. He showed me, and now I am stuck. Right. I think I didn't forget anything important there. So... Who's next?

Okay, so let's see here. I hope we can get this thread going again (better late than never), because it'd be kind of interesting to snoop around a bit in other people's business I don't know if we should keep it in one thread, or create seperate threads for each person who want to partake in the enlightenment? Anyway, let the bonding experience begin! As I've not taken part in any of the RL meetings (mostly because of them being in Finland and me not being in the near vicinity of Finland) most people probably have no clue who I am or what I do, except that I am that Danish guy that's been around nearly forever. I do however seem to recall me posting a picture of myself years back, but I don't know if it still exists somewhere in these forums. Anyway, my name is Carsten and I've now reached level 32 in World of RL. I live with my girlfri...erm, now wife Katrine and our soon to be daughter, who has a name but it's a secret! Katrine is a RL level 26 who though once made a level 2 female night elf before leaving the game, shaking her head in confusion, never to return. We live in a city called Aalborg (random fact #1: It's the 4th largest in Denmark with 165.000 inhabitants) where we both work in after-school centres for children, though we work at at different schools. I am an educated 'social educator', and spend my working days around 300 children (hello swine flu!), though I am specifically connected to a small group of kids who have all been diagnosed with some sort of autism spectrum disorder (like Asperger), and therefore by default have trouble with their social skills and most times their sense of empathy. They are really rather hardcore at computers and gaming though, and are really just fun and fascinating to be around all day. My spare time used to be spent playing club football, but it's been a couple of years since I played at a decent level. I will start again next week. No wait, I said that last week. And a month ago. And six months ago. Hmm, probably not. Now Katrine and I spend a lot of our time tending to our recently purchased allotment garden (as seen in the thumbnails below), which we are in the process of shining up a bit. We're building and painting and we're sowing, growing and eating like there is no tomorrow I joined the Mistrunner Tribe in the start of december of 2005, after having played the game for about three months. I was kidnapped from the real world and put ingame by Zuljamon (of the Band of The Blackhand) who I studied with at that time, and who is a friend of mine. He also suggested to start a hunter as they were quite lethal back then, and so my first ever character Kugar was born, around september of 2005. The first couple of years of playing (Vanilla) were plain and simply awesome, and I couldn't let go of the game. Since then, the game has grown and gotten unnecassarily complex and hard to get ones head around, and so my interest has sort of diminished, as people may have noticed. I left the tribe for about six months at one point in 2006, and joined the (now almost dead) Dragonblood Conclave, who at the time were a red hot raiding guild, and who also had a few other former Mistrunners in the guild roster, like Garolf (who I miss dearly) and a few others I fail to remember. I then came back to the tribe and never looked back (or elsewhere) since. Anyhow, this will be the end of part one, I think.

Can I move into your garden and be your personal garden gnome? =) The garden is absolutely amazingly positively sweet!

We actually talked about getting a few gnomes for our garden not so long ago But yeah, it's nice to have a garden only a ten minute walk away from our flat here. It makes every day life a little bit less stressful, I think. Next year we'll probably move to our little yellow summer house in the picture and live there all summer instead of in our flat.

I do want, but I feel too lazy to write something. Hopefully I will make up my mind soon.

I didn't feel like it either, but I thought I'd give it a shot at waking up the guild from its sleep.

So, well, shall I continue then? I am 25 now and I live in this huge city with a population of two Finlands called Moscow. While I am Russian and I feel myself as Russian, those of you who saw me at the RL meeting this January may remember that my name is Yan (or, according to Latvian rules, Jan or Janis). That is because one of my grandfathers was from Latvia, thus come my not-quite-Russian surname and name. I've been married for nearly 3 years now (some of you had the pleasure of meeting my wife Nastya), that results in nearly 5 years together. Here you can see a proof of my matrimonial status . We live in a flat in a typical outskirts Moscow apartment block (you can see a photo of it here, I think I won't post photos as pictures as I can't play with this thumbnail thing. I graduated from a diplomatic university here in Moscow (with Spanish and English languages) and I am currently working in logistics/forwarding/sea freight sphere. Among my interests are history and geography, but I also love maths, formulas and calculations despite having studied in humanities. As you probably heard already, I love football, both watching it (supporting club Spartak from Moscow) and playing it, though I never played in an actual club like Kugar. Another thing I enjoy a lot is travelling, I had the luck to see alot of countries and cities - mostly in Europe, though. I should probably travel around my own country more and also visit some far-away places on other continents and hemispheres. I also like driving, and here you can see me with my car. Whenever I am driving, I am enjoying myself, despite the terrible Moscow traffic. In the summer weekends we usually go to "dacha", which means a coutryhouse - of my wife's grandparents. That is about 50 km from Moscow, I haven't got any photos unfortunately. There's a lot of forest around, a nice company of guys who we booze with every night, and all the countryside stuff like sauna, home-grown tomatoes etc. When I was younger (rather, when I was in school), I had invented and thoroughly developed a whole imaginary world with planets, galaxies and countries (they are like Squirrelland, Catland, Foxland etc), detailed maps, history, political systems, football championships, and all other attributes of a real world From there comes my usual web nick Tsoky (I have that on one of my alliance gnomes), Tsoky was my name in that world as a squirrel. I don't mess with that imaginary world anymore now, but sometimes I miss it really really a lot. I have accumulated a whole heap of drawn and written materials on it and a lot of computer stuff, like re-editing all FIFA 98 game to different player, club and country names, some scenarios for Civilization 2 from that world, and I think a lot more that I don't remember now. Well, yes, computer games have also always been one of my main hobbies. I've started with some very ancient game called "Centurion" when I had a 286 computer, and since that played a lot of different games, mostly preferring strategies, both turn-based and real-time, football managers and simulators, some RPGs. My favourites were Civilization series, Championship Manager series, all Blizzard games (except WC3 that I missed for some reason), Europa Univeralis series and other Paradox interactive global strategies, an ancient Japanese sea game called "Uncharted Waters: New Horizons", and many many others, too many to name them all. WoW is my first online and mass multiplayer game. My RL friend who has a char called Asphyx on this realm dragged me into it in February or March 2008 and I've been addicted since then. I did not know anything about RP when I started playing, but then I read about it and was really interested and happy I've joined an RP server. I think I joined Mistrunner Tribe on Scyepogg at level 20 or so and been hanging around since then.

Groaxy, did you wake up yet or should we send help? I'm awake, I'm awaaaake! Uuh, right then. Because I'm a bit paranoid these days, I'll just leave my real name out. But my intrawebs nick is JM and my age's 23. That's something, aye? I'm not exactly the most social person around (At least in real-life, around people that I don't know), hence why I haven't invaded any of our meetings yet. Maybe next year then, who knows? I live in Finland, Tampere. I moved here officially at the beginning of August, though I spent a lot of time here before that. All the credit goes to my better half who lived here at the time we met, while I still lived behind God's back. We first met through WoW/MSN in 2007 summer and from that on, things finally evolved to this. So much for WoW being a game for no-lifers, ha! (I regret that I used to be one of those people myself, who called WoW players lifeless naabs). Hobbies? Uurr...mainly gaming, like it has been for ages. But I've been busy with Geocatching now as well, though I'm still not as addicted to it as she is. Drawing counts as one too, I suppose, but I've been lazy with that lately. I don't have a job right now, but am looking for one, while also trying my luck with further studying. Can't think of anything else right now, so this'll have to do!

Righto! *cracks knuckles* I'm a 22 year old female, Becky/Becca/Rebecca, who now lives in Holland. I've lived here for two years and some months, and moved here to live with my better half known to many as Dogar/Xargosh/Oxateq. We met though the game, and to be more exact through our dear Morgush, we started chatting in the game, on MSN and the rest is history. I was raised in a village in North Western Sjælland, called Egebjerg, with approxamately 200 inhabitants, give or take 100. I have no further education but the Danish basic one, meaning 10 years of public school. I now work part time, 24 hours a week at a drugstore here in Holland, Kruidvat. It's a very large chain, probably the largest in the country, and I very much enjoy working there. I've been unemployed for the better half of the two years I've spent here, so the job is a very welcome change. My hobbies consist of many things. Mostly my two wonderful dogs, Kira and Jaina. Kira is a one year old dalmatian, pictures shall follow in the RL pic thread or something. Jaina is now... Hrm.. 2 years and a few months, she's a very ugly, and very wonderful boxer. And then there is also my cat, who's more like a dog, really.. Zoe. I've played WoW for the past... 4 years or so, and then some, and started out as a very vivid RP'er, which gradually changed into an annoying addiction to end game raiding.(Of which I am now rid of!) Random info about meself: I have these two on my back. A Wolfpaw and the newest, a Bearpaw . The last picture was taken on the day I got the tattoo, so don't mind the blood on my top >_> And this is my better half, Paul, holding our then 2 week old Nephew Julian, courtesy of Morgush + to be wife
