Right, this post is partly a notification of a change to our website, that may or may not be applicable for us, and partly a post to gather thoughts and opinions about our website plans in the future.
Our website host and developer has now taken WowStead out of beta, and launched the big ass-whooping final version.
What this basically means, is that we can either keep the (free) site as it is and have so-called tasteful gaming related adverts on it. Although free we should with this option get new features anyway though. Or we can use the nifty (and more importantly) social donation feature where all Tribe members, from Younglings to Chieftain, can throw in two cents whenever we feel like it, and by that take advantage of new cool features that will arise, as well as a clean, no-ads and no-nonsense website. You can find more info by using the bottom link in the navigation menu on our website - mistrunnertribe.wowstead.com
Below is a quoted text off the WowStead website regarding this:
WowStead will become a subscription service on September 1st, but you can still keep your site for free. That date may change by a day or two as some things always seem to pop up. Once this does happen all existing sites by that time will get an additional two weeks of free subscription. Sites who have been with us for two months or more will get three weeks of free subscription time.
Here are a little bits of info which will be of interest:
Just trying to get a feel of what we want. Let me know what you all think.

Here are a little bits of info which will be of interest:
- Guild sites without a subscription will not lose any features!
- Free sites will retain all modules and functionality that exists on WowStead now, plus more which is going to be coming.
- Free sites will be supported by ads; however, we will keep all ads tasteful, free of gold sales and such, with a focus on games and related content.
- All ads will be worked into the selected skin layout as well as possible, so they won't look bad.
- Sites who subscribe will not have any ads.
- Future modules and services will only be available to subscribers. This won't be any critical content, but some things which make managing your site easier and such. An example which you'll see quite soon is an in-game addon/tool which fetches your guild bank and more.
- The cost for a subscription will be $7.50 USD per month.
- You'll never have to pay for the full subscription yourself! All guild members can add to your account balance and see where it currently stands. The same page, available only to members of a rank you choose, will show a history of all donations and which character made it.
- Subscribers will be getting significant discounts on Ventrilo servers!
- We'll be adding more full-time support staff!
Just trying to get a feel of what we want. Let me know what you all think.
