Some persistent info about the tribe:
- The Mistrunner Tribe is a role-playing guild, first and foremost.
- The weekly Tribal Meeting is held on Sundays 18:00 servertime (unless stated otherwise in guild message of the day) at the Mistrunner Camp, due west of Camp Taurajo, on the Barrens–Mulgore border. If you're online, you're expected to show up. Failure to do so may lead to removal from the guild. If you have RL business, aren't online for some other reason, if you're attending to another roleplaying event or ask and receive a permission from the Chieftain or an Elder to not participate, that is fine.
- To join the Tribe, register and post your application with a mandatory background story at: mistrunnertribe.wowsteadlegacy.com/recruit or at mistrunnertribe.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=visitors
After your application has been processed you will be contacted via e-mail, forums, in-game, or by any other possible means. If we think you are Mistrunner material, we will invite you for an IC interview. - As of 13th of November 2008 Death knights are accepted into the Tribe on a case to case basis. This means, your character's RP should be directed towards reconnecting with the Earthmother and the nature. If this is not the case, we suggest you look elsewhere or contact us on these forums or the Elder Council (see below) in-game and ask if your Death Knight idea fits the Tribe's beliefs.
- As of 29th of June 2008 Offensive WPvP IS allowed. However, our roleplay aims for maintaining a peaceful image. This means, we do not attack or enter alliance towns just because we can due to higher player level, but because it is motivated by roleplay. Of course how everyone roleplays their characters varies and this leads to different ways to motivate attacks.
- Guild chat is always in-character (IC). Join the channel "mistrunner" for out-of-character (OOC) chat. Party/Raid chat is usually OOC. And say (/s) is always IC too (which should be obvious). Another thing that should be common sense but you better check it out anyway: Rules of Conduct on the OOC channels.
- Keep /pvp enabled at all times.
- Members are expected to follow these forums. Sign up using your character's name.
- Tribe website can be found at mistrunnertribe.wowstead.com . Register there as well.
- The Tribal Hoard (guild bank) can be viewed by all members of the Tribe. Rules can be found from the Bulleting Totem (only available for members). Withdrawals are as follows:
- Younglings: Can view the Vault, but not withdraw anything. If you wish to have something, please contact the Elder Council.
- Tribesmen and Champion: Can view the Vault and take three items per day.
- Braves: Unlimited access.
- Elder Council and Chieftain: Unlimited access.
- Younglings: Can view the Vault, but not withdraw anything. If you wish to have something, please contact the Elder Council.
- The Tribe also has an IRC channel: #mistrunner at Quakenet.
For those who wish to apply to the tribe:
If you wish to apply using the website, the Application Form can be found here. You need to register to WoWStead first in order to fill the form.
Furthermore, please keep the following things in mind while applying:
- It is suggested that you first write your answers for the application to a text document (Notepad, Word etc.) before copying and pasting them into the text fields. This allows you to keep a better track of grammatical mistakes and overall look of the text and to modify it.
- If you accidentally submit your application before you finished it, fill out and send another one. This is where having your text on a text document comes handy. The unfinished application will receive the same treatment and result as the finished one.
- You must be a tauren and you must have read and understood the Rules of Conduct. We have an OOC channel that is open for all of your other characters, but they cannot join the actual guild.
- It's not required to register at our forum in order to apply. Only on WoWStead. Alternatively if you apply at the forums, you are not required to register at Wowstead before you are accepted.
- As mentioned above the roleplaying rules are strictly enforced.
- Previous roleplaying experience is well-appreciated, but being inexperienced is not a problem as long as you're willing to learn and follow the roleplaying rules. This includes but is not limited to: no hopping around like a rapid bunny, avoiding god-emoting (making emotes that do not give a chance for the other person to react or decide what happens), no smileys in say or any other place where you are expected to be IC etc.
- Good grammar is appreciated almost as much as roleplaying experience, but is not necessary. Bad grammar doesn't cost you points as long as you avoid using smileys, unnecessary bragging and abbreviations (lol, roflmao etc.) in the application.
- The character background story doesn't have to be final. All of our characters evolve both during and outside roleplay.
- If you wish to write an IC story about your character instead or in addition to the background story, you are free to do so on our Visitor's Board.
- If your application gets accepted, you will receive a mail about it (for Wowstead applications) or a reply in forum (for forum applications) and you will be contacted in-game by one way or another. An IC interview will be handled before you are allowed into the guild.
- If your application gets rejected, you will receive a mail simply stating it (for Wowstead applications) or a reply in forum (for forum applications). If you wish to know why your application was rejected, you need to ask on the forums Visitors' Board or contact the Chieftain or one of the Elders in-game.
Current Elder Council:
