I am kinda closing on the level gap and I wondered what to do next. WHat do most of you do?
I guess arena is not for me, I find the concept of being locked in a place and forced into pvp boring, when there's a whole world outside.
But really, what to do? Run endless PUGs to normal 70 instances, then heroics? I guess I won't get enough gear for Kara anyway by the time wotlk comes out. Do some of the quests remaining in Outland? (is that an equally good way of obtaining gear?) Target at crafting something epic? Go for the nether drake? Level alts, leaving the main as it is?
I somehow never considered in detail what to do at 70 before now... Growing seemed logical and straightforward, while at 70 there seems to be no clear, single aim.

I feel your pain, I had the same when I first got Morgush to level 60, way back in the day. I didn't see a challenge after that. I decided to reroll to Scarshield Legion RP-PvP alliance and levelled a Dwarf to 60. I found out I enjoyed instancing and World PvP, but I disliked the realm, so I came back to Defias Brotherhood, rerolled Morgush to resto and started instancing with a vengeance, all with (Mistrunner) premades. I also organised loads of RP events, usually 1 or 2 each month.
Then BC came along, I levelled Morg to 70 and had a blast with him as feral, tanking instances, heroics and raids. I never bothered with arena games, I think they're tedious at best, and pretty lame most of the time. However, I kinda got bored of the same instances over and over again, and the guild I was in at the time needed Shadow priests, so I levelled a Priest to 70, I got the taste of levelling then and soon after levelled a Paladin and a Warrior to 70 while mostly playing my Spriest for PvE content, and using Morgush mostly for W-PvP and RP.
I like PvE, I love instancing, trying new and weird things, and the gear is a bonus. I avoid PuG's like the plaque though, I always run instances with people who I know. I love RP, and try to attend as many events as I can, and I like World PvP, also attending just about every event I can. That's what I found at 70. Hopefully you can do the same.

The problem with RP, runs with friends and any other pre-scheduled events is that they have to be pre-sheduled. I generally prefer to play when I can, not when I set myself a goal to play tomorrow at 19:00. Besides, RL is always making its corrections and my wife would kill me for a PC game event preventing me from visiting her mom So PUGs seem to be the way for me, especially when no mistrunners seems to be doing 5-mans (maybe I am wrong?) I'd get myself a drake and a lot of crafting recipes, but that takes a ton of money and rep grinding... BTW, I have established quite a presence of alts on Scarshield Legion. Will buy a horse for my human as soon as the new patch gives mounts at 30.

It seems that quite a few normal 70 instance runs are required to gear up for heroics. Me Scyepogg is now ready for any enterprise in those, doing them with mistrunners would be nice as a distraction from the PUGs.

Well, I'm putting Morgie in the fridge, and will hopefully get to play Eide a bit during my leave. Maybe we can hook up for a few instances with some mutual friends.

I'm about to hit 70 (will probably happen tonight, or tomorrow morning) and I'm worried that I'll get bored of playing again soon, as has happened with my three previous level 70 chars. :/ I don't like PvP and I don't have time for raids - so I'm pretty much stuck with doing daily quests, instances (normal and heroic) and roleplaying.
I'm hoping the latter will keep me entertained if nothing else will. And on my other characters I've been guildless or in guilds which I didn't really like, so perhaps you luffly people will help me not get bored. *fingers crossed*

Before I forget to ask, could you any way elaborate or point why or what you don't like in PvP? The level cap really is a troublesome thing if you aren't prepared and/or used to it. I felt really hopeless back when Gerrum hit 60, since I knew absolutely no people on the server (Ravenholdt... Haagen had gone to army at the time and I was guildless). My Fury spec combined with horrible gear made grinding at Plaguelands and Silithus impossible, and I couldn't beat anybody in PvP due to gear imbalance. I mostly hanged out at Alterac Valley, gathering materials for the wolf rider attacks and air strikes (this was back when an average AV match lasted around 1-3 hours and the winner was usually decided with the additional help of NPC attacks). Hitting 70 with Grail was quite different. The Tribe was raiding and healers were needed. But even with my other characters that have hit 70 or near it, it's always felt like there's a lot of ways to grow the character from thereon, as long as you just think it through a suitable way. For me, it's probably mostly about gathering gear, which is utterly and extremely frustrating if you don't have a guide for it. If you do, read it and work it one piece at a time ( Guide to Kara-gearing for hunters, for example). It's slow and some times the damn things never drop (which is why you may want to concentrate on the stuff you get from quests and professions), but it also feels nice and rewarding when they do. PUGs are always the downside, but you may want to think positively and concentrate on non-instance gear when you can't find trustable people to do instances with... or just take the risk. I do remember a few PUGs that were way more awesome than a few non-PUGs I've had to deal with. The fun of profession leveling kind of depends on the profession. My leatherworking's stuck at around 360 because I can't find anything to level it with. Meanwhile alchemy, tailoring and engineering were rather fun from the beginning to the end. Or you can just track your reputation gains and imagine you're still gaining exp every time you finish a reputation quest... The Netherdrake should be obtainable within a few weeks if you do the quests every day, but will easily take months for a casual player, including the money farming for epic flying and getting a team to do the prequests. What goes for level 70 roleplaying. The only "problem" is that you if you want to keep yourself entertained with it every day or more often than a couple of times per week, you need to 1) look for it or 2) initiate it yourself. We've had loads of people coming and going for the reason that we haven't offered them their daily dose whenever they needed it 24/7. We do what we have time to do, and it's a lot more than I've seen a lot other RP guilds arrange damnit >_< Then there's the option of leveling (yet) another character. For me, it seems logical that every time you start anew on a server, you should make a PvE/raiding character (that will spec for tanking or healing at 70, because they are more guaranteed than being dps) and a PvP/farming/grinding character (mage, hunter, warlock, something that can do daily and other quests at ease and farm materials and money). It gives you more choices for when you can't do one thing and leveling two characters at the same time allows you to abuse Rest to a better extent. Aside from these two characters, it's always nice to have a third one who handles banking and whom you can give a go whenever you're bored of the two others and want to do some hilarious newbie quests/instances. TL;DR version: Find stuff that keeps you happy ( ¤_ ¤)b

Before I forget to ask, could you any way elaborate or point why or what you don't like in PvP? I think it's mostly an issue about my PvP skills, which are... well, bad. And of course I would get better the more I did PvP, but somehow I can't find the motivation for going to battlegrounds over and over again and feeling useless because I always get my ass kicked. Hmm, need to check out that guide. Thank you. I've been rather lazy with professions, I just have skinning and herbalism for money. Perhaps I could get rid of skinning and level alchemy... I'll have to think about that. ^^ Yes, I'm aware of that. :) Yep, leveling new characters is what I usually do - but then I tend to forget my "main" and just play the new character. Until it hits 70, and I get bored, and reroll... See a pattern? ^^ And I already have a 70 druid on this realm as well, which I pretty much abandoned as soon as it hit 70. I just use her as my AH bitch because I'm too lazy to travel to capitals with Nakoda all the time. Oh well, I'll figure out something fun to do! Thank you for all the tips. :)

So I don't need some heroic items to be accepted for Karazhan? I have checked the kara guide and my gear seems to be on par with it, but I thought people usually seek those with purples.
