My PC is also a bit ancient (well, not too ancient, but 3 years old seems outdated these days). I've been planning to upgrade it for long, even chose the hardware I need, but I am too lazy to buy it.

Yesters I finished the above mentioned game and by gods, it's definetly the best game I've played on PS3 so far. Everything in it's just so perfect. To quote someone else about it "It's like a good summer action/adventure movie, except it has an interesting plot and good actors."
Possibly gonna replay it soon again, to gather all them treasures and oh-so-fashionable achievements to get it all 100% done. But before that, I'll enjoy Borderlands some moar. At least 'till my pre-ordered Modern Warfare 2 hits my mailbox...

As I suspected, Modern Warfare 2 got my full attention and I've been playing it like a madman.
'ts too bad that we're quite "spread out", so to say, when it comes to playing other games. Otherwise I'd love to play some online FPS or such game together. I had some great time in Left 4 Dead with former 60x members, if anyone's familiar with that game.
Also, someone else post here as well and break my combo!

I haven't been playing any games besides WoW for a good while really. If I was to pull out a game again, it has to be one of Settlers games for PC. Or Virtua Tennis for the PS3. I think I'll have to borrow the latest one at the library and try it out before I get it. I have borrowed Godfather 2 also for the PS3, but haven't tried it yet. The kids at work thinks it's real good, so I'll have a go at that one of these days.

Godfather 2 seems like decent fun from what I've heard. Though when it comes to criminal-ish games, I recommend GTA IV from the bottom of my heart.

I managed to get Torchlight when Steam had it on offer for 3.99 euros, and I feel almost bad about not paying anymore for a game that is so horribly good (and addictive). I recommend anyone who is into anything Diablo-ish to try it out (and even if you aren't). Graphics, controls and everything is top notch, and I just can't stop playing it!

Bit of a late reply, but anyhooo...Torchlight! I've read positive comments of it, but haven't given it a go yet. Might change that in the near future...
I'm playing Batman - Arkham Asylum at the moment myself. Pure awesomeness it is!

Aroh made me a favor of telling me about Allods Online game, I tried it, and seems I am lost in another game again Wo-hoo... In many aspects it is a clone of WoW, but I'd say it is improved in numerous details. And it is new and different. Also I enjoyed how crafting is done, it is not the endless boring clicking on "create" button as in WoW. Level 9 atm.

Playing allods and I like it so far, but the whole free to play system with item shop seems broken (not for low levels, but at max level, listening to what people say), so I am not sure if I'd continue that...
Has anyone tried AoC or Warhammer? Is it worth trying?

Has anyone tried AoC or Warhammer? Is it worth trying? Age of Conan I haven't tried personally, but from the latest little review I read about, you definetly don't want to get it for PvP purposes. Or well, that depends. It's a Wild Wild West out there and more 'Be Killed' instead of "Kill or Be Killed". But for some hardcore PvP folks it might work. I'm not sure if there even is any proper PvE content for people on maxium level. Warhammer I've played with my better half. It was quite fun, though the numerous bugs back then ruined some of the experience. Both PvE and especially PvP were enjoyable. But on PvE side, the journey seems to be more enjoyable than the destination. Aka, the end-game content is also lacking interesting things to do. Also the fact that there's only 2-4 servers these days doesn't seem too promising for the future of the game. But would I have to choose, I'd definetly go with Warhammer. I just actually might, when one of those boring days arrives. Oh, and...I'm about to play God of War 3 now myself. Can't wait to start it up! *fleeees*

First impressions are - a fresh change to realistic graphics from cartoonish ones, I don't know which are better, but probably I am a bit fed up with cartoonish wow/potbs/allods. All the menus and quest texts also look more serious than cartoonish. Character creation is like in Sims, well maybe not that deep, but everything is customizable. The combat is advertised to be unusual, and it probably is, though maybe not as unusual as it claims to be.
So far I am liking it, but the thing that worries me is the instanced system if everything. Basically there is no single world, there can be even several instances of the same zone if there are too many players in it..
